Adoption Process

Step 1: Fill in an adoption application
Our team will review this, contact references and get in touch with you with any questions.*it is up to our discretion whether we require further processes such as phone/zoom meeting

Step 2: Complete a meet & greet
This may take place at a fosters home, a partner pet store or a public location

Step 3: If everything goes well, we will proceed with payment, finalize the adoption, and transfer the animal’s records.

Same day adoptions are possible at events BUT are not required. We do encourage families to take some time to think about the decision as adding a new family member is a big decision, for both you and them.

The whole family must be aware and in agreement about the adoption. Adopters must meet the animal prior to processing an adoption. We do not adopt out sibling puppies together due to the high likelihood of littermate syndrome. Some kittens may be required to be adopted in pairs or to homes with other social cats. If the animal you are interested in is not a good fit for your lifestyle we will do our best to help you find one who is. If adopters cannot keep their pet the MUST be returned to us. Under no circumstances are they to be rehomed, however we need ample notice as we are foster based. We require that animals in your home be fixed (or solid plans are being made to do so at an age appropriate time). As we work tirelessly to lessen the amount of unwanted animals in our province spay & neuter is key.
