About Us

Determined To Create Change For Animals Through Kindness, Compassion & Understanding

After being involved in the animal welfare sector in many roles from a new volunteer, a vet clinic setting, volunteer coordinator positions, active rescue and even executive directorship our team has been able to get a full concept of the way the sector operates. This has opened our eyes and given us the passion and determination to make a difference in a different way. We want to look at each animal and each human involved on a case by case basis and offer what they need, what helps them, not just what is easy.

Lifelong friendship

Our Vision & Mission

The Rescue Collective Foundation aims to create a safe space free of judgement to better the lives of companion animals in our province while supporting the people who love them.

It is our goal to assess every animal on a case by case basis and be able to provide them what they need, whether that be a program we offer or an intake into our rescue. We hope to assist the many reputable rescues in our province combatting the pet overpopulation crisis and one day see a world where our services are no longer needed.

The goal is to work from all angles through spay & neuter initiatives, training assistance, emergency medical assistance and other programs to help animals stay in their homes and out of shelters when they can.

Foster Testimonials

"Fostering is one of the most rewarding experiences we have done. I have fostered multiple times through different rescues but Archie was Kyle’s first foster pup and my first foster through the Rescue Collective Foundation.

I remember the day I heard about Archie’s story I knew we had to help. Archie was found injured outside and needed a foster home to come into care. The next day we welcomed Archie into our home. He was a very scared boy, scared from the terrible world he had experienced. He was scared to come in contact with humans, he wouldn’t drink, eat or use the bathroom. By the end of the first day we had already built a connection and he was asking for affection. By the end of the week Archie was fully house trained, knew basic commands, had great manners and loved to show off his tricks!

Although the world had been so mean to Archie, he couldn’t wait to shower his humans with love. He was the type of dog that touched your soul. He was gentle, he was loving and had such a funny personality. Archie was almost a foster fail but my sister decided to adopt him!

It was rewarding to see how our home allowed Archie to trust humans again and to see such a sweet soul bring so much laughter and love into our home

Fostering is a selfless act. By allowing them in your home, you allow them to find their forever family and you allow them to feel loved again. Without us, these animals can’t get their second chance at life."

"I became involved in the world of Rescue just under 10 years ago when I had surgery & recovery took longer than expected so as a "fun thing " to do...I started going to a rescue to "help" which lead to fostering. Our Family has fostered pups, grown dogs, medical rescues and Moms with pups & kittens.

We've seen some huge transformations in the time rescue animals spend in our home & it's very satisfying to the change that occurs with love and security. A piece of your heart goes with each fur baby that leaves your home.

It's truly extremely rewarding experience"
